Essential Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot 5 production lines – mechanical, electrical, pneumatic experience required.
  • Prepare, implement, and support weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance as required for all machines and equipment.
  • Repair as needed: Operation Equipment, Warehouse Equipment, Facility, Electrical, Plumbing.
  • Responsible for the safe keeping and inventory of a small tools, kits, and power tools.
  • Responsible for the set- up of all equipment prior to production runs, changeovers, and assembly (or disassembly).
  • Responsible for operating either line (or both, if required)
  • Responsible for working with all departments to maintain production and facility goals.
  • Work with any contract mechanic or service reps.
  • Complete daily records and work orders as needed.
  • Understand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
  • Using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • At the facility, repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment.
  • Equipment should be modified, lubricated, diagnosed, and operated.
  • Industrial control systems must be maintained.
  • Create and report repairs during the shift, working individually and with other team members to perform repairs in a safe and timely manner. Complete the necessary work order documentation and keep track of the parts and materials used.
  • Understand and follow plant safety regulations, such as proper lifting techniques and machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be worn as necessary.

 

 

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree or industry specific certification preferred.

  • 2 years of maintenance experience is required.
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Issues and solutions are communicated effectively to cross-functional team members.
  • Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics can all be read and interpreted.
  • 2+ years’ experience in related industry

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in applicable maintenance field.
  • Able to safely perform equipment repairs.
  • Understanding of a vast array of equipment manuals and chemical SDS.
  • Able to troubleshoot and correct a mechanical failure quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to read and write.
