Role Summary

As an HR Business Partner, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations, managing a broad range of HR functions with autonomy and agility. Working closely with leadership, you’ll drive HR initiatives, support employees, and ensure seamless HR operations, all without dedicated administrative support. What You’ll Do

 

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, from job postings to interviews and offer letters.

  • Partner with hiring managers to attract and secure top talent.

  • Ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires, from paperwork to IT setup and orientation.

 

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Be the go-to HR contact for employees, providing guidance and support on workplace matters.

  • Drive employee engagement by implementing recognition programs and monitoring workplace culture.

  • Support initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

 

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination

  • Process and validate employee timesheets and collaborate with payroll to ensure accuracy.

  • Administer benefits programs and keep employees informed of their options.

  • Track promotions, salary adjustments, and other compensation-related actions.

 

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Quebec labor laws and workplace regulations.

  • Keep HR policies and employee handbooks up to date.

  • Stay ahead of legislative changes to maintain compliance and best practices.

 

Health & Safety

  • Oversee workplace incident reporting and investigation processes.

  • Manage return-to-work programs and workers’ compensation claims.

  • Support health and safety initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.

 

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

  • Generate HR reports and insights to support decision-making.

  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with confidentiality regulations.

 

Culture & Events

  • Plan and execute company-wide HR and corporate events, from holiday parties to recognition programs.

  • Handle logistics such as communication, vendor coordination, and event setup.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: College diploma or University degreee in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3-5 years in an HR generalist or similar role, preferably in a unionized environment.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in French, with strong working knowledge of English.

  • Tech Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Quebec employment legislation and HR best practices.
