*CONTRACT POSITION - MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT (12-16 months)*

We are looking for a Financial Analyst – Costing and Inventory to join our finance team for a maternity leave replacement of approximately one year. This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines strong manufacturing cost expertise with a passion for data, business intelligence, and technological advancement. You will play a critical role in modernizing costing data, strengthening databases, and advancing analytical tools, while acting as a trusted partner to operations and leadership.

 

 

What You Will Do

 

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a financial reference person for cost accounting and inventory management processes and systems
  • Ensure the implementation, integrity, and evolution of cost accounting processes for manufactured products
  • Take a lead role in the technological advancement of costing data and financial databases, with a focus on structure, reliability, and usability
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and other departments to validate data accuracy and business logic
  • Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, performance indicators, and management reports to measure operational efficiency
  • Perform detailed variance analysis related to labor, raw materials, overhead, and manufacturing performance
  • Analyze and explain company performance, including variances, waste, subcontracting, and process inefficiencies
  • Develop advanced analyses using Business Intelligence tools, complex queries, databases, and artificial intelligence
  • Identify opportunities to improve data governance, data flows, and financial data usage across the finance function
  • Participate in cross‑functional strategic and operational projects requiring financial and data‑driven insights
  • Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of financial, analytical, and operational processes

 

 

 

What You Bring

 

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar financial analyst role
  • Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Power BI)
  • Strong experience with queries, database design, structure, and maintenance
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in data analytics, automation, and AI, including tools such as Copilot
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
