Summary: 

As a Production Planner, you will play a strategic role in optimizing our manufacturing operations. Your main mission will be to orchestrate production planning to ensure timely manufacturing, in adequate quantities, and in compliance with the company's quality standards. You will work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow that meets customer expectations and company goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Development and Management of Production Scheduling: Create, update, and refine detailed production schedules that maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Use planning tools to optimize production flow and anticipate operational needs. Schedule orders based on machine capacity and technical specifications to optimize resource usage and shop floor production. 

  • Monitoring and Adjustment of Schedules: Continuously monitor production progress, quickly identify bottlenecks or delays, and adjust schedules as needed to meet production targets while respecting delivery commitments to our customers. 

  • Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and optimize processes. 

  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of reference for order book information and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Facilitate coordination between various teams (production, logistics, procurement) to ensure aligned priorities. 

  • Documentation and Traceability: Maintain rigorous and organized documentation of production schedules, adjustments, and performance indicators to support continuous improvement and effective future planning. 

  • Reporting and Performance Metrics: Generate and distribute reports on production status, highlighting key indicators, potential risks, and recommended corrective actions to anticipate and resolve operational challenges. 

 

Essential Skills: 

  • Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. 

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. 

  • Proficiency in planning tools (ERP, Excel, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods. 

  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment and make data-driven decisions. 

 

Experience: 

  • 3 years of experience in a planning role. 

  • Relevant experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

 

Academic Requirements: 

  • Degree in Production Management, Logistics, or a related field.
