Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven European Sales Leader to spearhead the expansion of our sales operations across Europe for the FLEX-MAT product line. This is a newly established role, reflecting our ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will lead both the sales and technical service team, driving business development and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
In this crucial position, you'll play a key role in identifying industry-specific needs and opportunities, building impactful relationships, identifying solutions and driving revenue growth. As Director Market Development and Sales for Northern Europe you will report to Major FLEX-MAT’s Europe business unit leader with a dotted line to the Vice-President of sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm key markets in Northern Europe, develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for FLEX-MAT across those key markets. Ensure alignment with Corporate Sales and Marketing strategies
- Identify industry specific opportunities to support the long-term growth plan of the organization
- Conduct thorough market analysis to assess brand awareness, identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and technical service team in Northern Europe to maximize their potential and performance:
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams leverage by the use of the CRM
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members
- Align the team needs and performance with the Company objectives
- Ensure implementation of our Company’s values
- Conduct Solution Driven Sales - Problem solving with customers and collaboration with internal teams such as production, shipping, quality, R&D and marketing departments
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through exceptional customer service and support
- Develop and execute market entry and penetration strategies within Northern Europe aiming for our Sales and Revenue Targets – annually and in a long-term perspective
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Business degree (MBA or equivalent).
- Strategic thinker with a track record of market development and driving business growth based in Northern Europe
- Knowledge of European mining or aggregate markets and regulatory environments
- Proven experience and success in a senior sales leadership role in a digital oriented environment (CRM, Inbound Marketing…)
- Talent for living in the solution—eager to proactively address challenges by proposing actionable and practical solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel extensively across Northern Europe and occasionally to Canada/USA
