Job Description
As a Finishing Worker, you will work at various work stations to manufacture our screening products. This is not an assembly line so you have the time to do your job well!
You will be required to :
- Set up and operate equipment, with minimal supervision, to manufacture and install hooks according to written procedures.
- Maintain and manage the cleanliness of the machine, tools, and work area.
- Perform simple calculations to ensure that the screens meet MAJOR's tolerances and specifications.
- Cut screen wires according to customer specifications.
- Attach the ends of the screens according to customer specifications.
- Stack the screens.
- Check specifications to ensure quality meets customer standards (internal quality control).
- Ensure that production requirements and standards are consistently met.
- Strive to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
- Collaborate with the team to meet quotas and achieve established goals.
- Comply with all safety guidelines.
- Follow all written and verbal instructions.
- Participate in all safety and production training sessions.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
Essential Skills
- Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble delicate product parts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
Experience
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with press brake machine preferred
- 2yrs experience working with metals is preferred
