As a Production Worker, you'll work at various workstations to manufacture our screening products.

We're looking for people to work in the order receiving and shipping department.

 

You'll be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing and shipping orders to our customers in compliance with quality standards and established deadlines. You will also be responsible for receiving orders from various suppliers and dealing with carriers.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  • Greet and direct carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Perform visual and/or dimensional quality control of parts received.
  • Verify conformity of parts with purchase orders and required specifications.
  • Record and document receipts in the computer system.
  • Organize and store orders according to a pre-established filing system.
  • Keep plant clean and tidy.
  • Use handling equipment safely to move parts as required.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records.
  • Follow safety procedures when handling parts and equipment.
  • Ensure finished parts are handled and stored safely to prevent damage.
  • Pack parts securely and in compliance with transportation standards.

 

Your profile

  • Fluency in written and spoken French
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work carefully and efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
  • Physical strength and stamina to stand, walk and lift for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition for handling tasks.
  • Computer literate

 

Experience

  • Forklift driving experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 2 years' experience in metalworking preferred
