Work location : 10 ave. Liberté, Candiac, J5R 3X8 ( Finishing Plant)

Job Description 

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for handling and controlling a press brake to form metal screens to precise specifications. Your role will be essential in the manufacture of high quality screens used in various industries such as agregates and mining. 

 

Your role 

  • Preparing the press brake: Set up the press brake by selecting the appropriate dies and punches according to the technical drawings and work instructions. Set the press parameters to obtain the required bending angles and dimensions.
  • Press brake operation: Use the press brake safely and efficiently to bend metal parts to the specifications provided. Closely monitor the bending process to ensure accuracy and quality of parts produced.
  • Quality control: Perform visual and dimensional checks on bent parts to ensure they meet tolerances and quality requirements. Rectify bending faults and adjust press settings if necessary.
  • Safety: Comply with current safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Use personal protective equipment correctly and report any safety concerns to your supervisor.

 

Education and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

 

Working conditions 

  • Regular working hours, 40 hrs/week, permanent position.
  • Sometimes exposed to high temperatures from the machines. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy metal parts.
